After receiving a 1st Class Honours in Design from the National College of Art and Design, Marie-Therese went on to work with world class goldsmiths in New Zealand. Returning to Ireland, MTW got accepted onto the prestigious Design and Crafts Council

Goldsmithing course in Kilkenny. While on the course, MTW worked part time with Masters at JMK Goldsmiths. Marie-Therese remained in Kilkenny and worked and trained for over 10 years, while at the same time building her own business, skill set and client base. In 2019, the Nenagh workshop /Gallery was established. Her award-winning work can be seen on permanent display in the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks.

Marie-Therese Walker of MTW Jewellery is a Goldsmith and Jewellery Designer. Her jewellery is hand-forged using precious metals and gemstones and is available to buy through her Gallery-Workshop in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, and online on her website, Facebook and Instagram.

Marie-Therese designs and makes bespoke engagement rings, wedding rings and dress rings and all forms of jewellery to mark special occasions. She also remodels and repairs old jewellery. MTW has long been an advocate for sustainability. She was the first goldsmith in Ireland to use Fairtrade Gold and Silver, and also sources and supplies ethically sourced

diamonds and gemstones.
